Home Care Support Worker, Sheffield

We are recruiting Home Care Support Workers to join our Home Care team, providing person centred care to our clients in their own homes in and around Sheffield to enable them to live as independently as possible.
You will be responsible for providing a high level of care, individually tailored to each client based on their needs and personal preferences. The types of duties you may undertake include:
- Personal Care such as personal hygiene, dressing, undressing and bathing.
- General cleaning duties including; laundry, bed making and ironing.
- Preparation of snacks, meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
- Providing support with mobility
- Companionship, shopping, trips out
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role. Whilst previous experience in this type of role would be an advantage, it is not essential.
We will provide you with full training, coaching and support to enable you to feel fully confident in your new role. A full enhanced DBS check is required for this role, which we will pay for. You will also be provided with your staff uniforms, ID badge and all other equipment at no cost to you.
As a growing business there are opportunities for development and progression for those who are interested, including short, bespoke courses and diploma’s in Health and Social Care.
School hours available – Shifts starting from 9am.
In addition to this we offer competitive rates of pay as follows:
Monday to Friday, Days (7am – 10pm) – £12.30 per hour
Saturday and Sunday, Days (7am – 10pm) – £13.35 per hour
We also pay you for travel time between calls and a mileage rate of 45p per mile.

Deputy Manager, Home Care Sheffield

We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to work within the Home Care business, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organised, and dedicated.
The types of duties you may undertake include: –
- To ensure that you are up to date with all relevant regulations, legislation and best practices in relation to care provision.
- The communication of policies, processes, practices and business goals for Home Care, to the senior teams and other staff members.
- To implement and maintain the standards required by legislation related to the registration of Home Care.
- To provide leadership to the senior teams within Home Care to ensure all functions are well led, staff are managed appropriately, and clients are receiving the best person-centred care.
- Cultivating effective working relationships with the staff to encourage an open, inclusive and positive culture, offering support and guidance where necessary and appropriate.
- To work with other healthcare providers to ensure the clients receive the best care from multi-disciplinary health teams, including Doctors, District Nurses, Chiropodists etc.
- To work with family members and groups in the local community to ensure the emotional and spiritual needs of the clients are fulfilled as far as is reasonably practicable.
- Evaluation of clients Care Plans, ensuring all information is kept up to date and maintained in accordance with relevant data protection legislation.
- To be on call for emergencies, out of hours service, Monday through to Sunday on a rotational basis.

We will provide the successful applicant with full training, coaching and support to enable you to feel fully confident in this role. Experience of using MS Word and Outlook is essential, along with good communication and organisational skills, a full driving licence and your own vehicle.
A Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is essential at a minimum. You must have minimum of two years’ experience of working within social care at a senior level. Minimum of one years’ leadership experience within Social Care, ideally in Home Care. Previous experience as a Deputy Manager is desirable.

We are actively recruiting for a Day Care & Activities Co-ordinator to join our Care Home team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the delivery of high-quality activities to our residents and Day Care Clients.
The types of duties you may undertake include:
- Working with external providers to arrange activities within the care home and visits to other places / events, ensuring that activities run as smoothly as possible.
- To work with family members and groups in the local community to ensure the emotional and spiritual needs of the residents are fulfilled as far as is reasonably practicable.
- Creation of care plans and risk assessments for day care clients, ensuring all information is kept up to date and maintained in accordance with relevant data protection legislation.
- Encouraging feedback from residents, day care clients and families to ensure that activities are relevant, interesting and person-centred.
- Providing day care clients and residents assistance with nutrition and hydration, mobility and personal care when required.
- Completing necessary and appropriate documentation, including recording participation in activities and any other matters that arise, to ensure the care home has accurate records of activities.
- Arranging transportation for day care clients, collecting them from and returning them to their homes when agreed and required.
- Ensuring that residents rights are protected including respect, dignity, privacy, independence and freedom of choice, and that staff members are aware of those rights and perform their duties accordingly.
- Ensuring all activities, within the home or externally, take place safely with the care of the day care clients and residents being a priority.
- To raise concerns or issues with the Registered Manager or other senior manager which may affect any residents, staff or the business, as appropriate.
A driving license is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate must have experience in organising activities, carrying out risk assessments and completing Care plans. Good communication skills are essential and previous experience in a care home is desirable.

We are actively recruiting for a weekend Cook to join our Care Home team. Your key roles will be to to prepare and cook a variety of well-balanced meals, which are appealing, nutritious, and centred around the preferences and individual needs of the residents, and in accordance with any dietary requirements.
The types of duties you may undertake include:
- To ensure that you are up to date, understand and are compliant with all statutory and legislative requirements in relation to Health and Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health and HACCP.
- To maintain and monitor appropriate records and schedules to meet the requirements of the Food Safety regulations.
- To ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is adopted and maintained in all food preparation areas.
- Ensure that all equipment used is immaculately clean and fit for purpose, including pots, pans, dishes, crockery, cutlery and utensils, reporting any issues, damage and potential hazards to the Registered Manager.
- Ensure that meals are presented in an appealing way to encourage consumption and to meet the standards of the care home.
- Ensure that you are aware of residents’ specific dietary requirements and allergens, adapting menus accordingly.
- To ensure that refreshments are readily available in order to aid hydration.
- The preparation and delivery of special menus to incorporate themes and celebrations within the care home.
- Ensure there are sufficient stocks of food and drinks ordered in a timely manner from the appropriate suppliers.
This position is for weekends only on alternative weekends.
Mandatory training will be provided for this role. Please note that induction training takes place Monday – Friday.
