Job description

Twelve Trees Limited is part of the Twelve Trees group based in the Nether Edge area of Sheffield. We are proud to have been providing care for the elderly since 1994. Our Care Home is set in a quiet leafy area, where we also offer Respite and Day Care, with plenty of stimulating and interesting activities.

All our staff are highly trained in delivering person-centred care for each client and both the Care Home and Home Care have “Good” CQC ratings.

We are actively recruiting for Care Assistants to join our Care Home team, providing person-centred care to our clients. You will be responsible for providing a high level of care, individually tailored to each client based on their needs and personal preferences.

The types of duties you may undertake include:

Dressing and undressing of clients
All aspects of personal hygiene including personal care such as washing, bathing, grooming, shaving and cleaning teeth
Assistance with nutrition and hydration
Providing support with mobility
Administering medication
Record keeping
End of life care
Assistance with activities

Good communication skills are essential and previous experience of a minimum of 1 year in a care home is essential for this role.

A full enhanced DBS check is required for this role, which we will pay for. You will also be provided with your staff uniforms, ID badge and all other equipment at no cost to you. As a growing business there are opportunities for development and progression for those who are interested.

Twelve Trees has been providing support and care for my best friend for several years. In all that time, they have never dropped the ball once. Not only have they taken care of my friend, they have supported me in my role, always, offering advice and taking the pressure off where they could. This is a lovely place with a great atmosphere of calm. The staff are so helpful - provided me with advice and support at a time when I badly needed it . My husband attended as a day client for many months and although he couldn’t remember much of the activities day to day because of his Alzheimer’s he did always respond positively to the atmosphere .

Twelve Trees carers have been looking after our aunty during the last year and until she recently went into the care home. They treated her beautifully and made sure she was showered, clean, medicated and well-fed during their visits as she gradually declined in self-care due to dementia. She is lovely and sociable and appreciative of their time. And as a family, it brought us peace of mind that she was set up for the day. She just became too lonely and sad (and a bit dangerous!) to stay at home any longer. Thank you Twelve Trees.

I have been using this service since August 2020,m during this time I have been very happy with all aspects of the service. All carers have arrived on time and have been very friendly and efficient. I have found all of them polite and very h helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them at any time, excellent service all round. I would recommend this service to anyone.
