November in south west Sheffield is a lovely mix of concerts, theatre, local history talks and the first of the Christmas markets and craft fairs. There’s also Remembrance, and plenty of afternoon events for anyone who would rather not be out after dark. Our thanks again to the Banner Cross Neighbourhood Group, whose fabulous monthly listing inspired this round-up.
If something here catches your eye but you’d rather not go on your own, or getting there has become harder, our home care team can come along with you. More on that at the end.

In November, getting there can be the hard part. Dark evenings, cold weather, busy markets, or simply not wanting to go alone can all stand between someone and a day they’d really enjoy.
Companionship is part of our home care service in Sheffield, and our carers can come along to events like these with you. That can mean helping you get ready, travelling there together, a browse round the Christmas stalls, and seeing you safely home afterwards. It can be arranged around a single outing or become a regular one.
Our home care team covers the S7, S8, S10 and S11 areas, and many of the venues above are just a short trip from our head office on Union Road. It’s the same thinking behind our Friendship Lunches, which bring people together for a hot lunch and good company.
If you’d prefer company closer to home, day care at our Sheffield care home in Nether Edge offers a full programme of activities, good food and friendly faces.
